Will it be awkward?
Never. Almost everyone feels a little nervous at first, and that's completely normal. My job is to guide you through the session so nothing feels stiff or forced. We'll focus on having fun rather than "perfect posing." I give prompts that result in movement and interaction that give a blend of naturally posed and candid photos. Most clients tell me they've forgotten about the camera within the first few minutes.

How will I know how to pose?
You don't need to worry about that at all. I'll guide you throughout the session with prompts that help you forget the camera and relax. Whether you're comfortable in front of the camera or have no idea what to do, I'll make sure everything feels easy-going and fun. I'll handle the picture-taking and do it at the right moment to capture a pose you didn't even know you were doing ;).
How long is 1 session?
Session length depends on the type of session, but most are under an hour. I don't charge by the hour; I charge per session. Some clients prefer a quick, efficient session, while others enjoy taking their time. While all sessions have a time cap on them, we'll move at a pace that feels right for you. Once we've captured everything we need, we'll wrap up.
How many photos will I receive?
This varies by session and by client. Some sessions naturally produce more variety than others, and everyone's comfort level is different. I don't cap the number of images you'll receive. You'll always get a full gallery that reflects your session and story, with plenty of images to choose from.

How will I receive my photos?
You'll receive a private online gallery link where you can view, download, and share your images. This link will remain active for two weeks. Downloading directly from your gallery ensures your photos retain their full quality, and you can download as many images as you'd like.
What is the turnaround time for my photos?
Most sessions are delivered within two weeks. During busier season, turnaround time may take up to three weeks. Weddings are delivered within 6 weeks, but I'll send you some previews earlier (I know how excited we are to look at wedding photos!). I always aim to deliver your gallery as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality.
Will my photos have a watermark?
No. Your photos will not have a watermark. Once you've paid for your session, the images are yours to enjoy and share. While I always appreciate being credited, I don't believe logos belong on personal memories.
Do you offer prints?
Yes! You can order professional-quality prints directly through your online gallery. Ordering through your gallery ensures your prints come out exactly as intended, without issues like cropping or color changes. Print quality through the gallery far exceeds convenience store, and I've made pricing as similar to that of the convenience store as possible.
Do you help with outfit planning?
Absolutely. If you'd like help choosing outfits, I'm happy to offer guidance and suggestions so everything looks awesome in your photos while still feeling like you. We can talk through this before your session
Can I choose the location, or will you?
That's totally up to you. If you already have a location in mind, feel free to share it with me. If not, I'm happy to suggest locations that fit your session type and vision. We'll choose a spot that feels right for you.
Why do you like to do FaceTime or Zoom meetings before sessions?
Meeting beforehand helps me get to know you - your style, your comfort level, and the story we're telling. It also helps clients feel more prepared going into their session. These meetings are completely optional, but highly recommended.
What happens if my session needs to be rescheduled?
I understand that life happens. If you give at least two weeks' notice, there's no rescheduling fee. Last-minute reschedules may require a rebooking fee, but I always handle emergencies on a case-by-case basis.
Weddings require more of a notice due to the demand of wedding dates being filled and being unlikely to fill your date again without a fair amount of notice. We'll go over the details together before booking your wedding.
What is a rebooking fee?
When you request to reschedule without a 2-week notice, there is a 20% rebooking fee. You do not owe another retainer, but the original retainer is not refunded. The 20% secures your date the same way the original retainer did.
Why do you require a booking retainer?
A retainer secures your spot on my calendar and allows me to fully prepare for your session. Once your date is booked, I begin planning and reserving that time specifically for you.
When is the remaining balance due?
The remaining balance is due before your session date. Typically, I say one week before your session is the due date for the remaining balance, but I am flexible with clients who need more time before paying the remaining balance. Clients needing extra time may pay after their session before receiving the final gallery.
Why is the retainer non-refundable?
Your session date is reserved exclusively for you. The non-refundable retainer helps prevent no-shows and last-minute cancellations and ensures I can give each client the time and attention they deserve.
Do you travel?
Yes, and I love it! I'm based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and available for travel. Travel fees may apply depending on distance - feel free to reach out with details.
Do you work with kids who don't love photos?
Yes! And that's more common than you might think. I'm pretty laid-back, and get along pretty well with kids. I'm great at keeping sessions relaxed and flexible, especially for little ones. We follow their lead, take breaks if needed, and focus on capturing real moments rather than forcing anything. I also have a few tricks up my sleeve to make fast friends with the kiddos who take a little longer to come out of their shells.
What are your wedding videos like?
Wedding videos are a cinematic retelling of your day. With video clips from meaningful moments, like your first looks and walking down the aisle to dancing, speeches, and candid interactions, your video is edited to flow naturally and reflect the emotion of your wedding day.
Currently, my wedding videos reflect "content creation" style, being a few minutes long. They can be with music only or a mix of audio from the day and music. We'll decide together what's best for you.
I do create longer videos for those wanting true videographer-style. While these aren't in my basic add-on options, if you let me know that's what you want, we'll customize the plan ahead of time to fit your needs.
What if my reception is on a different day?
This is more common than you might think. An additional $40 covers travel for a second day within one hour of Fort Wayne, IN, plus $5 for every additional 10 minutes of travel. Wedding coverage still includes up to five total hours across both days, with additional hours available if needed.
